Any US companies hiring remote @ Canada ?
I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.
Should I take this delay as rejection?

Okay, in that case be truthful and honest on the background forms and leave it at that. Reaching out to the new employer and letting them know can potentially have your offer rescinded.
Does the form ask for that level of detail to explain reason for termination?
I would keep it to as much minimal information without over sharing. I don’t think calling an sharing with the future employer about your termination is a good idea.
So the form requires to whether I am still there and if not why I am no longer there; terminated, left for better opportunity, performance not being met, it’s pretty in depth and has a section to explain why
You chose the answer for why you are black ops longer there. I have to do it for the past 10 years of employment history with each job
Why? Your new employer is not allowed to ask your previous employer anything about your termination. New employers can only verify employment dates and rehire eligibility when they call an old employers. It’s against the law for old employers to divulge any personal information to your new employer.
The U5 will show the reason regardless
Be truthful in filling out your bc check. Everything you put down will be checked and the last thing you want is for it to come back failed because you lied. Don’t reach out to your new employer. Anything you tell them will be part of your permanent HR record. Just add the termination date on the bgc form. BGCs will only ask your previous employer for your title at the time you left, your supervisor’s name, and whether you’re eligible for rehire.
