If a person wants to leave a firm, is there a reason why, instead of resigning, they’d just not show up anymore and cut off all forms of contact with the firm, even the HR can’t reach them.

Newbie to investing. What are good online courses / books to get smart on investing?

Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with.
