Great if you are in your twenties, listen to The Cure, and wear vintage
Currently live in ridgewood. Honestly a great experience since it’s 1 train ride about 40 minutes (granted I’m a native New Yorker who lived in queens before). My SO and I really love it. Happy to chat more. Context for us is newly renovated 3BR apartment for 2500 + utilities
Haha yeah, honestly not a bad set up but finding apts in Winter definitely helps a ton since demand is less
If you like to party and aren’t too bougie with your restaurant choices then Bushwick is a great place. Try to get a place near the L, so you can B-line it to Manhattan if you want. It’s cheaper, grungier, but safe too.
I’m in Ridgewick, been here for 5 years and in my early thirties. In a renovated 1br for $1800. Love this area - can beeline on the L to Manhattan and come home to somewhere quieter. The neighborhood is safe. There are so many new buildings that have recently opened/are being developed, loads of new restaurants, and a ton of coffee shops. The demographic is definitely changing, I’ve seen a few finance bros on the early commute recently

Im in my mid 20s, live with my SO if that helps for context
It’s a crapshoot between the 2 locations. Would check out both and see what you like best.
