How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.

Luxury assuming amenities. Through past experiences feels like I’m getting more out of the lux building
Are we talking same price? Or saving by going for a walk up? If the former, lux all the way.
My office is located in Hudson Square/West Village. Come to office 50% of time. Late 20s Male, like to be near restaurants, nightlife, etc. but more adult friendly vs college vibes. Budget is around $3500 with fees.
What luxury high-rise building recommendations do you have that meets the above criteria.
You might be better off in a walk up. Generally the affordable luxury buildings are a bit further from the nightlife.
I’m personally a fan of downtown Brooklyn or UWS because I like the peace and quiet when I’m working from home/out of work, and it’s a short commute to west village/Chelsea/soho where I tend to go out.
For that budget, you should be able to find a nice studio/1 bed in the area. I would also look in TriBeCa, SoHo.
For lux buildings, you can always look at the ones in mid-town west (Hudson Yards). You can probably find a nice studio for that price.
Would rather have bigger and better location in walk up over luxury high rise all things equal
Same price. They essentially net out to the same prices. Walk ups are priced a bit lower, but typically have fees. Whereas high rises are priced higher but no fee.
Walk ups are more prevalent in desirable neighborhoods (WV, SoHo, Nolita, Chelsea).
