That's tricky but if they are not including tip is most likely to be more profitable that way. So I would say reflect on that before you sign.
When you become salary you’re truly locked in. You’re a slave to the hours on the clock. I understand the allure of the stable income though, especially if you work somewhere seasonal. This doesn’t sound great, in my opinion, if your company is referring to gratuity as tips. If your place does mandatory gratuity on your checks, then it doesn’t make much of a difference on your bottom line, I would just make sure your w-2 “total” for the year will be similar in number, if not higher. But, like another commenter said, if this is truly referring to “tips”, then the company is just essentially trying to steal your money by distributing it differently, aka // not releasing it to you, but keeping the tips internal.
