I'm curious what others find to be the most challenging part of being unemployed. For me it's the lack of schedule. I find with practice I can stick to being productive for a few hours, but just doing it the whole day without any sort of structure is really tough.

Most challenging part is boredom and losing savings and feeling worthless. How does someone overcome this?

Totally agree — staying disciplined without a set structure is definitely the hardest part.

I agree with all of you. My motivation is low and I'm tired of myself. I need more human interaction

Then set a schedule. Doesn't matter about the activity, write it down on your calender. Gym, Job applications, Job searches, Meal Prep etc. Anything you can or do during the day plan it so you have structure. Even include when you should wake up, watching TV. You'll be surprised.

I'm a younger plaintiff's side attorney (31). Does anyone else feel like white attorneys give you a particularly harder time? Like unreasonably denying clear facts, or trying to fish for a way to sanction you? Usually it's solo defense attorneys that get extreme with it, but I've seen some questionable stuff from BigLaw too. Hopefully I'm not the only one.
