Any chance you can look internally at your current company? I think that’s always the easiest way to transition to a new role. Also do you know anyone who could refer you? In my experience it’s damn near impossible to get a call back without a referral.
I had thought of making that transition while here, but it’s really a small company and I’m not interested in any of the work they do here, plus it’s a bad environment for me. The two places I had referrals for didn’t even reach out to tell me my application was denied, so I’ve had no luck there either. Thanks for the advice! I’ll keep thinking.
