I’m currently unemployed, and the only interview invites I’m getting are for roles I have zero interest in. I know I should be grateful for the leads, but I’m tempted to just say no so I don't waste anyone's time. Is it common to turn down interviews when you don't have a job?

That would depend on how long you can be without a job. If you are fine and have the time to wait, that’s the best option. But if you are desperate, you probably should be entertaining all offers that come your way.

Currently on short term disability in CA and trying to figure out what the tax situation is. It looks like they don’t take out taxes, so should I set that aside? I can’t find any info on whether it’s tax-free income but I definitely don’t want to assume incorrectly

If I’m contributing to my Roth 401k vs pretax 401k and my employer matches 10% of my contributions. My employer match be 10% on my post tax contributions right? Technically meaning I’ll be getting less of my 10% employer match then if I were to do pretax 401k since that match would be on a higher amount?

Any Scimitar 🐠 or folks familiar with Scimitar? A colleague at EY just accepted a role there and claims the total comp is 40% more than his total comp at EY and he was at the very top of the senior consultant pay band as an MBA hire. The folks on LinkedIn look like a bunch of former PwCers.
