I think it’s smart in this environment to bolster the emergency fund a little bit more. I’m fortunate not to have too many financial obligations, but the cash may have to last longer
I'd be wary of investing everything at once, especially in this volatility. It's that thing where it looks like stocks are on sale. But we really can't know what's going to happen next week or the week after, let alone months from now. Dollar cost averaging over a few months might make the most sense. You'll get some money put to work, but you'll be reducing risk.
That’s what always feels right to me. I know they say time in the market beats timing the market, but especially in this volatility, it just feels more risky to do it all at once. With money markets paying high yield right now it doesn’t feel as bad to do it that way.
I personally do HYSA for mine, but really need to look into investing instead....I've heard the ROI is much better
Definitely worth looking into. Both for better returns and tax optimization!
