I’m looking to make a switch back to public accounting and I just got an offer for a FDD senior analyst position at a regional firm well know for their TAS practice. 4 years experience with an MBA. Got an offer for $95k (which is what I asked for), but I thought I shot high on salary expectations. Does that sound reasonable, or should I attempt to negotiate higher?

I got laid off. I’m shocked and confused. My agency hadn’t even lost clients yet. I was actively doing strategy work on my team. I feel so lost. Anyone else?

Here is how KPMG handled an announcement today re: a RIF:

...no email was sent. So, now 1,000 employees are going to bed tonight confused and irritated AF.

Context - Did my undergrad in the US @ a T10 Non Ivy (target school for all firms/industries) and had a big challenge recruiting for non engineering roles due to sponsorship and don’t want to repeat that experience again. Would rather do EU (LBS/INSEAD) if thats the case…

Had my fifth interview with a company today. Next step is an assignment. Politely asked the hiring manager this morning, “has there been any feedback from the other team members about me yet? Assignments are a time commitment and I want to make sure this will be worth everyone’s effort.” Zero feedback, just “nothing I can share with you yet.”

Ummmm…if you’re requesting 5+ interviews and an (unpaid) assignment, you should be ready for this question.
