What is a starting salary for EDI Analyst with no experience?

Recently had some recruiters reach out to me about copywriter roles. I’m still pretty new to the industry, 2 yrs in, but I figured I’ll ask for a bit higher than what I’m used to. Soooo I asked for 70k. Then talked to a couple people who said that was too high for an intermediate. So my question is, should I be asking for less? I don’t want to switch jobs unless I get an adequate bump in my salary, but also don’t wanna reach too high and get passed over for someone else. Thoughts? 😫

I have an offer to move client side and help them on their implementation of Workday (current implementation Consultant) as their HCM Admin. I work as a worker’s compensation adjuster and I cannot seem to get the hand of loss of time. Been in the same role for a year. Any piece of advise? I have made several improvements but it feels like I’m dragging it out. Last question is how do you manage claims that you have not handle for months and you’re too scared to do anything.

I was hired by a company that is paying me a ridiculous amount of money to do my job, but they lied to me, they lied to all of the new hires. This isn’t underwriting, this is a call center. We aren’t even allowed to answer coverage questions when the agents call. The call volume is INSANE - like 70+ calls a day. There’s no actual underwriting happening, and I don’t know what to do. The money is great, but the job is a joke. I’ve been here for 2 months and I want out. Advice?

Random Tangent: After year end results were delivered, staff received meager 3.8% adjustments, which is far from the news reports of 7.9% USA inflation. In short, essentially everyone in the company just took a paycut. And yet there's bafflement in the C suite when we see less than a week later a handful of key contributors leaving.
