I’m having a few chats with Capgemini Invent. Interested to get any thoughts from this crowd? I’m a builder, a creator and a bit of a hustler, and looking for any input, positive and ‘could be better’ from this gang. Thanks and Happy Christmas!!

Dm me for inside scoop. Which region?

I spent over a decade there. It’s an absolute mess (in North America anyway).
Capgemini was an Accenture/Deloitte competitor a longtime ago, however their acquisition of iGate and others has turned it into something worse than an IPP.
On top of the typical IPP challenges (commodity driven sales, widgets for dollar transactional relationships with clients, everything offshored etc), Capgemini has been desperate in the market and under estimating programs. That has led to an exodus of delivery talent across the board.
Invent is the Management/Business consulting arm of Capgemini and the stark reality is that the market does not view Capgemini that way. Selling strategy consulting is near impossible for a firm who is viewed solely as a cheap tech implementation firm who offshores the vast majority of their work.

I would argue Cap is worse. French work ethic with Indian pay.

Want to get a sense check. Typical English firm salaries in London are about 70% Cravath (unless you're at one of the US firms that benchmarks to Cravath scale offices). 2PQE is around 165k USD + 30k bonus assuming 1800 billables. So comparing at a firm where you roughly bill 1900-2000 a year, you lose out, but if you bill 2200+, that's comparable?

Thinking aloud here - if you can find that 2000-billing firm, no sense staying in that payscale unless you have a shot at equity?
