I’m naturally shy and was raised in a very supportive bubble, which gave me confidence but left me pretty naive. As a result, I really struggle to read people’s true intentions or understand office politics. Can a genuinely nice, quiet person actually make it in the corporate world, or do you have to develop a cynical edge to survive?

You can be nice but you don’t have to be a nice person if that makes sense. In business you can’t afford to be naive and you have to be able to read the room and people

Don't be a yes man. Ask yourself why am I doing this or saying yes or why am I supporting this. And learn how to say no in different way or to delay your responses when you're unsure. The best way to figure people out is to say no to them whether they will try to manipulate you into their demand or disparage you. Stay away from them and withdraw your support to them. But consider always everybody by default as being a good person and don't take at value face a one sided version or story.
And the best way to learn is to be a good person and to make error. Thats how human learn. Because most important lesson are the one learn from a hard total failure. Don't flee from that !! Face error, take accountability and learn from it.

I’m interviewing with a startup and the range has a 40k difference from the lowest to highest point. It’s also pre-seed and comes with equity, and health, 401k benefits. It’s a director of sales role so I would eventually be recruiting and managing a team along with building the processes and strategy. What would you consider a fair compensation package? If they offer me something on the lower end of the range, is it still appropriate to counter with an offer that is over their stated range?

Hi fishes,

Needed suggestions from you guys. Currently I am working in TCS,having 1.2 years of experience with CTC 7.5 lpa. I am confused if I need to do M.tech or MBA or just do company switch after some time periods. Which will be more efficient in salary perspective?

Whether I should do m.tech in cs or mba in HR or just keep on switching?

Hi team ,
I resigned and my last working day was last day of month .
The company KPMG was suppose to deduct my joining bonus and other things in final settlement. Last working day was last day of month , which means i got full salary.
What they will do in final settlement? Will they ask me to pay separately? I have resigned and joined another organisation. Any one knows what will happen ?
