Anybody did the apics certification in logistics ? I have the choose between the cslp and cscp but not sure which one I should be doing

Cscp is more well known in industry. Some requisitions can say cscp preferred. Not sure what D1 skill set is, but cscp is fairly well known. That said, also fairly unnecessary if you had any formal supply chain schooling

like

To be honest, I had to look both of these certifications up. Neither one particularly impressed me, although of the two, cslp seems slightly better.

However, treat these as minor enhancements to a strong career background. Without experience, they are both pretty worthless. With good experience, they are unnecessary

Yep thanks for your answers. I agree that it is more like a nice line on a cv and that it is not really necessary but in my country it is mandatory to pass one apics certification to be promoted to senior consultant... Apparently clients were asking for it a lot so they made it mandatory.

like

The APICS certifications are globally accepted and very well known throughout industry. Many employers stipulate these certs. in their reqs. It really depends on your level of experience in the field. I found the CSCP to be quite helpful.

Just a little weird question, suggestions will be helpful.
My cousin wants to enter into the IT industry but his graduation is from non Tech (B.A). So I have suggested him to persue and MBA in IT or MCA may be from distance learning will also help.
Please give suggestions which will be the most feasible way to enter the IT industry, given that he is financially not much sound but he is very smart and hardworking.

How does one get into underwriting in the western MA area? I have an associates degree in business and 5 years of insurance experience. I just can’t seem to find a company near me to apply for an underwriting entry level position. I’d rather not start in claims and work my way into underwriting but that’s my only thought process. Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I am a fresher and I recently joined a management consulting firm(3 months) with 12+LPA and I realised MC is not for me.

I am desperate to switch to creative/marketing/branding/advertising. If anyone could help/guide/refer me in the right direction that'd be great.

Please help. I’ve moved up the ranks pretty quickly at the company I work for to become a Principal SE. My manager thinks the best next step for me is to move into management and leadership and has started pushing me to apply for an engineering manager role. They say that I will be a good fit because of my strong technical background paired with the leadership and people skills I display currently.

I’m torn because I do love being an IC but I’m interested in leadership also. What do I do?

Has anyone considered opening a franchise? I would love to transition from law to business but have zero experience and am thinking a franchise may be the best option. I wouldn’t have as much control but it would provide a business plan and how to to get out there and get started. Curious if anyone else has considered. I doubt I’ll do it this year during the pandemic but want to start exploring this as an option.

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working as a Data Scientist (YoE - 3.5) and received one offer from Paypal. However, the designation is Data Analyst and they are offering an almost 100% hike.
Current - 14.5 LPA
Offered - 19 LPA (Fixed) + 2L (Bonus) + 2L (Variable) + 16L Stocks (Vested over 3 years, 1/3 in first year and so on).

Is it a good career move? And, how's the growth at Paypal, and what's the general annual hike there?

As I don’t have some kind of a mentor right now I hope it’s okay to ask for advice in this bowl. I have a 3 year background in account management at a medium size agency. Now I am doing a business bachelors degree and plan to continue working in bigger agencies after graduating.
Part of my studies is a mandatory 6 month internship which I thought about either spending at an agency in the strategy department or at a film production company to widen my scope of experience. Does this make sense?
