Once you're comfortably doing multiple sets of 10+ reps, you'll probably want to start increasing the weight. It does depend a bit on the exercise, though - what exercises are you currently doing with the 20 lb dumbbells?
Almost all. I don't own any other weights. So my bicep curls, Arnold presses, tricep extensions, weighted lunges and squats etc...
I would definitely recommend increasing weights, even if it means lower reps. If you're trying to burn fat though. go the route of increasing reps, but if you're trying to build lean muscle ... increase weights!

It really depends on your purpose. Lifting 20 pounds two or three reps is not a great idea. If you want toned muscles, reduce the weight, and do more reps. After you can do a few sets of 10 reps you can think about increasing the weight. If you keep adding weight, you'll likely bulk up your muscles, and that may not be the look you're after.
My trainer told me that you should be lifting at a level where you fatigue after 10 reps. He said more reps doesn’t help, that’s when you should up the weight
