Can I say, I really hope people think hard about this election and stop simply dividing into partisan camps. Trump is honestly a danger. Not honoring NATO commitments? Tearing up NAFTA? Honestly!?!?!?

Rallied hard this year, but feeling really burned out. I have a few weeks of vacation left and I really need a reset before another year of chasing my number. If you had 3 weeks of vacation left would you - take every Monday and Friday off from Nov 1 until Dec 15 or take a week at a time separately? Or something else? The last two weeks of the year will be really quiet anyway, so no need to use PTO.

Agreed to serve as local counsel for another attorney in my firm (different office). Answered complaint and then the case fell off the rails. Turns out firm has a conflict of interest that was missed in initial check, client has been instructed to retain a new attorney, court has ordered us to withdraw and client to produce documents by Wednesday. I keep reaching out to the attorney who I am assisting to ask if I can file my withdrawal and for the name of the new attorney and nothing. (Cont.)

I decided last week to actively look to leave not only my job but my industry, and felt really good and positive about it. Today I've woken up feeling daunted and unsure about it.

Every job I have had has come from connections or referrals, but now I'm actively putting myself out there, I feel vulnerable.

A few months ago I completed final rounds for a product role I was very interested in. Never heard back from them. Took a new position that is conducive to WFH/remote. I really needed some help! I’m about to join a company in a week time and i lost my EAD card employment authorization card. Also this time frame is where i need to apply for my extension. Does anyone have any idea if a digital copy of my EAD would be sufficient or anything else that can be acceptable?

I'd love to get a job in a video games studio. I have experience as a project lead (help deliver a program as part of a cross functional). What kind of skill would you say is essential to work in that environment and to actually get noticed when I apply. I have a case interview coming up soon. I never thought about working with a case coach or study group that some websites offered but some people highly suggest them instead of working solo. What's your take on this? Should I really pay for some premium service even though I feel comfortable with case interviews?
