I’m seeing a lot of job postings that list specific CRM mastery as a hard requirement. I’ve only ever used one platform, so I’m wondering if I should be worried about the learning curve or if it’s mostly just a preference. Do companies provide training on their specific CRM, or will not knowing their exact software get my application tossed?

It’ll depend a lot on the specific CRM you know and the one they use. That said, if you know one, you’ll probably be able to figure out another. Might take some time for you to navigate, but resources are out there for the common ones.

I would not worry too much. I have found that once you understand one CRM, the others are easier to pick up. Most companies expect some learning curve.

It'll vary by company. Some won't hire you if you're not an SF guru; others will give you the latitude to figure things out as you go.

I agree. The core concepts transfer. It is more about how quickly you can adapt than knowing one exact system.

Be proactive. Take a class on SalesForce or SAP at your local community college. The company will always train you on specifics. No Two companies use CRM software the same.

Let’s talk comp — I’m a remote head of recruitment with 6 years of experience being paid 75K base plus bonuses that got me to 90K this year. I’m interviewing for other jobs, and have a potential offer at $130K base. Any idea what the market is like? Is seems like anything between 72K and $250K is possible. I have no idea what to ask companies for.
