I would factor in if that pay differential actually covers not only gas right now, but the wear and tear it’s going to put on your car. Bc you’re going to have to get a new/used car sooner with a further commute. Is it actually worth it?
Public transport is usually more expensive but as the commenter said the wear and tear too
Also, don't forget the cost of your time. Whatever your hourly rate is, or if it is salaried, what you could be doing/what you would make with that time instead should be factored in. An extra 10 minutes in commute is an hour and a half over the course of a week (10 minutes there, 10 minutes back). Whether you use those 10 minutes wisely is up to you, but don't forget that either.
Is it worth it for you? The 30 mins?
I would take the longer commute, there is much you can get done and its good for the mind
It can be!
Being in a small town your right you don’t get many options unfortunately!
