Actually, assuming these are winter events, I’d also say a blackwatch tartan bow tie and cummerbund combo would look really nice (have done this one before)

Diamond tipped is more midcentury. So it will work if you're wearing a skinny suit with narrow lapels. If your tux is more classic, with bigger peak lapelsor you're a bigger guy, go with the bigger squared off bow tie.
Ah that’s good to know! I’m on the leaner side, so the tux is a slimmer (not skinny) fit.
