It's good to always keep in mind that respect isn't included with the title. It's your actions that can gain you respect. It's probably good to just be honest and acknowledge that your colleagues have a wealth of experience. And you're going to rely on their experience as you set the direction for the team. It goes without saying that you'll have to grow in the role, so it would be advisable to make it clear that you're open to feedback. You really have a great opportunity to learn and leverage the experience of the team into something impressive.
Servant management- do as much to help them make sales as possible - jump on the grenades and be an expert in something they might not know and need to know - (like your product) good luck and congrats!!
I mean it’s tricky. I think the older generation is always primed to think they’re better than the younger generation. I’m supposing firing in the people who are disrespectful to you replacing them with more professional personnel as an option but maybe you could fire one one publicly and get the rest of snap in line
