I’m thinking about applying to higher end retail but worried about expectations. Is it very different from regular high street roles?

Most of these skills are transferable. Generally higher end may have less employees, therefore you'll be responsible for more things. However you can learn skills that may be broken down into separate roles at other places while you're in high end. The pay tends to be better. There may be more expectations however a high end name after a few years will always be a plus on your resume long term. Get as much experience as you can there, while applying what you already know.

Don't ever sell yourself short, at least shoot your shot. If it doesn't work out, at least you tried. But limiting beliefs will get you nowhere on the long route.

Yeah! Might aswell try. Worse scenario is a no!

I think so. What I’ve noticed is the emphasis on meeting sales goals. It’s definitely a more competitive environment as well.

Yeah I think so too!

Hi friends,

I'm a new joinee in MSFT.

People in my team they don't come with me for breaks. (They blame the timings are different since they sit in crits but i don't think so because they have their own group of friends to go with)

Secondly, when my team members see me in cafeteria we expect they'll sit with us but people here are being rude they directly go and sit with their friends they don't call you to join. ( atleast they could have said they are accompanied)

People behave unpleasant

Had a 3.2 in undergrad at UC Berkeley. Struggled with mental health 2 of my semesters, which reflects in my transcript pretty evidently. Is it worth writing an optional essay about? Just don’t want to be dinged and not seen as capable for grad level courses bc of that

I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?
