I thinks leggings are fine especially for Pre/kindegarten. A nice top over that helps the outfits look more professional

I agree that a long shirt is much more professional. You have to think about the other people who are likely to say things.
Leggings are my lifeline, too. I’m up and down all day, keeping up with the little ones, and there’s no way dress pants or skirts would work for me. I think as long as they’re opaque and paired with a tunic or sweater, they can look just as put-together as any other outfit.

I think that a oversized sweater definitely looks good with leggings
I think leggings are good as long as the top covers your bottom. You know what they say? Children, drunks, and leggings don’t lie!

OMG! That's awesome. You literally made me laugh out loud!

I do not like leggings unless the crotch is covered. I just think it looks tacky.
They're completely fine in my opinion, especially with a nice top. I wear them all the time and have never felt judged for doing so.

They are not allowed at our school unless they are fingertip length.
We can’t wear leggings but they do let us wear scrubs.

So many people have to comply to such dress codes.
My clothing search is always dressy yoga pants or joggers, so right there with you on that. Paired with a nice top and so far so good. I know some districts around me are super strict with their dress codes. Thankful that we have some leeway and can wear something comfortable, but still looks decent.
Leggings can look great if they are paired with a nice top that covers your bottom. Early childhood people need to move comfortably to be their best with the littles!
