As with anything, in moderation. If AI helps you work smarter (not just faster) it’s no different than using Excel instead of doing math by hand. It’s a tool. The key is still adding your judgment, creativity, and human value. That’s what you’re really paid for.

Of course there was the incident where a human ordered A. I. to terminate and shut down and it's response to the verbal command was "Nope"!

Using AI is completely ethical, encouraged, and expected to be used.

like

Yes provided its not used for confidential information (eg; Contracts, financial reports etc)...unless its a central in house AI system.

Open AI type platforms is a hard no for any commercial in confidence documents and information.

As long as you're not sharing sensitive information with it, I don't see any issue with using AI. It's not cheating, it's a tool. If using it enables you to work more efficiently, you should go for it and not feel the least bit guilty about it.

Do your job with AI or someone else using AI will replace you.

like

Depends on the job, some managers tells you to use it to get a draft ready and save time. If you are not sharing personal or sensitive info. However, for some jobs, AI can't help. So, you might want to check with your manager what he thinks about it, and explain that its to save you time and not do the whole work for you.

AI is a powerful tool. But at the end of the day it is just a tool. So, use it wisely.

Excellent point. A. I. requires no vacations/sick days, 401k, or a paycheck. Doesn't talk back either. I hear AI will generate its own code and offer cybersecurity. Shades of "Terminater/Matrix". Some call this this the next step in mankind's evolution. More like the movie THX1138.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.
