The job hunting game has changed. When I was looking for work, I had a process I followed. I applied to 15-20 jobs a day and only to jobs I know I can do, while being reasonable when it comes to the pay rate. I found something in 80 days. My whole day wasn’t just applying, I posted on LinkedIn, network in person and online, and leveled up my skills by learning something new in my career. I made a playlist about this, hope it helps you and others.

Thanks going to check this out
It's not you. It's this market. I fill out about 10 apps a week for the last 8 months. I've only had 2 interviews since my search started.
Same experience as yours. It's awful. I redid my resume entirely, running it through AI programs so maybe I'll get a live person soon?
Market is horrible. Even if you're over qualified, the game has changed, as many here have stated. I've been out of work for over 10 months. I do have a job offer on the table and that's because I was able to get a recruiter I previously worked with, to help and get it on the desk of the hiring manager. Had an interview a few days later and an offer a week later. Timing and my clearance status is what is currently hurting me. I'm basically at the mercy of the DCSA and how quickly they process clearance applications. However, I've applied to many other jobs and have gotten literally very little to no responses. I get the whole ATS and AI process, to try and channel applications through the funnel a little quicker and efficiently. But I think that is the main reason that is hurting this job market. Not to mention hundreds of applicants per position because of high unemployment. It's very very difficult. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
You're not wrong the market is really broken.
Very true. Not sure what the issue is with Recruiters or Hiring Managers even if one gives their best at interviews 😊
A total wall since October 2025. At least 50 apps, handful of interviews, no offers. I don't know how people manage. Sure, we have no choice but it's getting harder to even get out of bed.
