I have 4 lots of data categories which are assigned a code in the adjacent cell
Eg:
Cell A2= 'xyz' Cell B2 = 'w1'
Cell C2= 'ghi' Cell D2 = 'x1'
Cell E2= 'plm' Cell F2 = 'y1'
Cell G2= 'mhn' Cell H2 = 'z1'

The combination of the 'W','X','Y' and 'Z' codes identity a specific trend

How can I add multiple characteristics within one cell and make sure that a pivot table can read both values independently if needed? E.g., I have a column titled “color” and in one cell I write “red” and the other “red, blue”. Today I encountered the strangest bug I have ever seen with Excel+Thinkcell. I have, as always, a separate Thinkcell sheet where I gather and structure the data (from other sheets) I want to make charts of. However, when linking this data to charts, all formulas in the sheet turns into values. This has never happened before. Anyone else seen this and knows what is going on?

I have 1 sheet with names and sheet 2 with a large list of names that may or may not be those names - which also have corresponding unique identity numbers. How do I easily match the names with the same names and keep the unique identity numbers for importing later?
