I have a love-hate relationship with DU.
A bit extreme, still relatable

Good jobs for introverts? So over consulting.

I just ignore requests :) Not sure what else to do, it's not like you can make up excuses like seeing friends or going to the pool/gym or whatever
I show up, stay long enough for some back and forth, and then type into the chat, “Great seeing everyone! I gotta jump off. Looking forward to the next one.” And then sign off.
This is a better idea, IMO, than skipping all of them.
Regardless if you are on the bench or on project, you likely still have to make calls, right? Even if it's a quick check-in on a proposal deck or catching up with a coworker/mentor you actually admire, jump on a call with someone you can stand and stay on until the Virtual HH is over - even if it's just you on the line at some point. 😉
You should adapt this for what works for you and what's available. Do you have virtual trainings you can schedule? Whatever it is, find something plausible with which to fill your time that will conflict with the Virtual HH.
I recommend replying with "Tentative" to the invite and editing the response blaming a conflict but will try to make it. Someone took the time to put it together, and it doesn't hurt to be courteous.
@AOP In the end, client service comes first. I'd be surprised if they would expect you to eschew live project calls to join the virtual HH, esp in this time.
Just don’t tell them that you would attend if only it wasn’t at 3pm west coast time. They might get ideas.
Do agree with others. Reply tentatively. And at least make one. Stay for a few then leave.
