What level do managers/PLs from MBB and T2 firms typically come in at for Strategy & Ops roles?

Anyone have experience applying to roles that are a bit out of reach? I’m looking at a few roles asking for 5 or 6 years of experience while I’m at 4. I’ve had success with this is past but I’m not sure how strict google is with this. Thanks!

I am in a super good position at Jellyfish as a Director with a good room in terms of growth. Great responsibilities, work life balance and I strongly love my job. However, there is an opportunity to join Google Dublin as an Agency Development Manager (level 4) with strong salary, new challenges, different role and responsibilities etc. I HAVE A STRONG DOUBT about a trade off: is better to have a strong margin of growth and a good position or join Google with the above conditions?

For those that transferred internally from Audit —-> TAS, how did you talk to your partner about making the move? Just talked to mine and he seemed pretty upset. Our business is understaffed and I am considered a “high” performer. Just wondering if this should have been generally expected/your experiences were the same.

Took PTO starting last Monday for a family trip (got canceled bc of covid but kept the days). I’ve worked 8 hours ever day and will Monday and Tuesday of this week. Have been sober for many years but currently relapsed and am in a downward spiral. I’m close to losing my family but I can’t seem to get my head together. Feel like I need a few months out, maybe take some time off work… has anyone done similar and did it help?

A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄.
