I am about to go FL as an Account Director. My first gig is going to be a year long. What is the standard practice around taking time off? I want to take advantage of the freedom FL offers & travel

Not unlike working full-time and going on vacation except you don't ask for approval, you just notify them. In advance😊

Oh AWESOME.
I wasn’t sure if it’d be different for us Account folks...thank you!

Do you get health insurance on such a long gig?

I heard that CA passed a law where employers have to pay insurance for contracts over a month but I can’t find any info on that. I plan on asking after we lock in the rate

How do you best leverage a job offer when you don’t want to leave? In the running for a VP job (higher level than now) that pays $70k higher than what I currently make. I want to ask for more money, but don’t want them to see me as a flight risk or that I am not loyal anymore. Or my bigger fear is they’ll say they cannot offer me any more and then I feel like I have egg on my face. Any tips for delicately balancing this?

My firm has applied for my L1A visa. If that gets denied, my plan is to travel to Canada and re enter US immediately on B1/B2 visa (already have valid B1/B2 stamp) so that I'll get time to figure out things here in the US (sell my stuff, handle my bank accts etc). Is it possible for me to reenter US on tourist visa?

Does anyone know if Infosys Consulting typically has a remote structure? I have a higher base offer from another consulting company that I prefer, but they have a travel requirement of potentially up to 50%, whereas Infosys claims to be flexible on allowing consultants to be fully remote in the future hybrid environment. I'm Boston based, in financial services, so it is hard not to imagine trips to NYC being required. With family commitments,I am not sure that I can sign on for any travel. TIA!

Hey friends! I hope everybody has had a productive week and had an awesome weekend for those who enjoyed their holiday! This question is specifically for Amazon Web Services in sales.

So I am currently a potential candidate as an AAE. I was told that I would in the future have to prepare a mock deck and deal with objections.

Has anybody had to prepare them and what was the scenario?

Thanks everyone!

How is everyone planning their family vacations? Specially looking for people with kids. I have 2 kids and a family vacation for 4 people for a week easily comes to a min of 5k -6k (flight, car, hotel, eating out every day, entertainment tickets) and if we end up taking 2-3 vacations per year, it costs about 15-20k. This feels like a lot, or is everyone spending this much?

Any New Yorkers have the magical code to get a real person on the phone at the unemployment office in Albany on the teleservice line?

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?
