Anyone have experience applying to roles that are a bit out of reach? I’m looking at a few roles asking for 5 or 6 years of experience while I’m at 4. I’ve had success with this is past but I’m not sure how strict google is with this. Thanks!

Okay so I’m a newly licensed attorney in a very conservative part of TX. I just got my first job offer and I was worried at first thinking that I was in “Trump” territory, but I tested the waters in my interview and spoke about police injustices and how prosecutor’s job is not only to protect victims, but also defendants from police injustices. I have to let them know by tomorrow, but thoughts on if this is a good career move for someone who wants to work in transactional work-RE or Bankruptcy?

I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). So far I received offers from PwC India, Capgemini and Lexmark for Data Engineering.

More are in pipeline from KPMG GS, TechM, Accenture.

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐

However, every interview I get asked about the campaigns that I have run.

I realized recently that I can turn my “super associate” persona at any time. I had it off during covid when my kids needed me and got a bad review. So now it’s back on. I’m responding to midnight emails (and daytime ones in under 20 minutes) and getting work done the same morning. I’m spending countless hours doing edits over edits. I actually don’t like super associate. Why do people live like this 24/7?!? 🤔

Completed onsite interviews for the TAM role and recruiter gave me feedback that my technical depth wasn’t up to par for the role but my googleness/leadership and GCA interview feedback was stellar so they plan to propose me for Cloud PM roles instead. Does this happen? Or are they just being nice? What’s the probability that they’ll match me to another role?
