Is it really as bad as reviews claim it is? Can anyone speak as a creative out of their MA office? I've been interviewing for a role, but even during the interview process I'm getting flags about it being an overly demanding workplace environment. I have worked in agencies where it's demanding, but you usually don't expect that with in-house work. That's the perk of working in-house! The role would be a jump up for me, but I'm not sure it's worth it if I don't get to live my life outside of it.

Not sure what company you're talking about, but as a rule it's good to be be careful about reading online reviews. People with complaints are just far more likely to write a review. If you got a sense during an interview that the place would be very demanding, that's a bad sign. Some organizations take a demented pride in how stressful things are, they embrace that warped "grind all the time" ethos from startup culture.

The owner of the company i work for has a saying... "a fat dog dont hunt like a skinny dog do..." and i think that gives you all a very good idea of why i am using this app.

Could you be a little bit more specific? I'm not sure where you're talking about or what company it is.

Our TN office is cool. I have found that the promise of flexibility is actually limited. You CAN work 20 hrs a week to meet their criteria for best sales but they will decrease your payout percentage if you dont meet quota. I am not a sales person in the sense of door to door. however i can rock it if you come to me like the 25 yrs of food service i have.

I am also only in my 6th month. I have lost any motivation due to the expense of zoom info and oversaturation

Could offer more of an opinion if I had more insight. I’d just expect for most places to be more demanding of their employees, a lot of companies are trying reduce positions and that therefore creates more work for everyone

If you are already seeing flags during interviews, that is data. Interviews are usually when companies are on their best behavior. A role being a jump up is great, but if work life balance is already questionable, believe that signal. Growth should not automatically mean constant exhaustion.

It’s smart to trust those early red flags. In house can still be demanding, but if the workload starts eating into life outside work, the “perk” disappears fast. Talking to current employees honestly about work life balance can give a clearer picture before you commit.
