Depends what you’re sharing. If it’s just to vent about stuff, then yes. They’re human and you should be able to make friends with them and therefore trust them. Make sure they know you’re sharing things confidentially as you would with any other friend.
If it’s to share info about you or anyone else involving misconduct, policy violations, dishonesty, theft, affairs etc then no. Since they outrank you, legally they have to tell someone else that you’ve told them. Not saying they will follow this directive, but they might.

Never. You can’t trust anyone in advertising or business in general. A lot of people seem friendly, but will be happy to stab you in the back.
Everyone also has to look out for themselves and protect their job. So, it’s going to be really hard to get people to take your side and advocate for you over the agency or a high up leader, for example.
So a lot of people have an issue with this CD actually. Juniors as well as project managers and CX.. and the other CD on the team.
