TD1 has it spot on. Details are on the benefits site but you have to search for them as they are not easy to find. Look for retiree medical benefits. I retired Dec 31 under the VRIP (Voluntary Retirement Incentive Plan) and have the post retirement medical benefit, have to say that it is a huge relief to know that my spouse and I are on the firm plan for life.
Where did you hear that?

What is a retirement offer?
Post retirement medical at age 60 provided you have 20 years experience. That is the rule of 80. This bridges you and spouse to 65 and then you go on the firms Medicare Advantage Plan. Better drug coverage than Medicare Part D. The issue is you have to make it to 60 as a non partner. Getting from 52-60 is very difficult. Once you get to 58-59 you are probably ok. I did this for the medical coverage.
This was for the VRIP I’m guessing. I got an offer but it wasn’t enough.
