Depends where you’re moving from and your own lifestyle currently. If you’re young and relatively junior with a strong desire to build experience in one of the best markets in the world and experience the London life at the same time, it’s a no brainer. It can also help with exit routes into other businesses given the pretty fluid job market.
If older or with kids, I’d question your motive for it.
Really depends on the team tbh. If it’s a typical audit / tax job, the London pay uplift nowhere near compensates. If it’s a well paid consulting role that the team is only London based… well that’s a different proposition.
Depends on where you’re moving from, and what your current salary and cost of living is.
Deffo not a good move. London taxes and national insurance is punishing especially compared to Singapore. For £58k a year you’d be struggling to rent anything decent in London as well and be forced to live with a bunch of flatmates for the long run.
Go if you have rich parents who can help you financially and you want to have an experience working abroad, if not, stay far away.
are u gunna save? probably not. will you have “fun”? probably yes.
How much do you value the london experience both personally and professionally? that’d tell u if worth it or not. i’ve saved practically nothing, but would do it 100x again for the experience of living and working here (moving to dubai after 8 years here)
