Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

We don't really focus on goals where I work. We're just so caught up in the day-to-day that our actual goal conversation tends to fall by the wayside by about February. And I prefer it that way, I think that professional and career goals are a little bit silly. I just want to do my job and get paid for it.

That a bit of a goal, isn’t it? For my staff to do their jobs, my job is to get rid of blockers. That’s actually in my goals. I started as a contractor and worked up to department lead, and I have professional goals for my team to grow too.
Focus on the big picture. The fact is, there are always going to be things that you didn't get around to in any given year. As long as what you DID manage to accomplish moved the needle, that's just fine. My big accomplishment for the year was revamping our automated email campaigns. I spent a solid month analyzing them and another two editing and enhancing them. It's only been a month since those changes went live, and we're already seeing a 20% revenue lift across our five core flows (welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post purchase, re-engagement).

Congrats. You are right, but I’m a bit envious. I didn’t get to revise a similar program. Took longer than expected.
