I’ve been in sales my entire career, so 20+ years…… and I’ve actually never really liked it. The hunting and stalking people gives me anxiety. The pressure from leadership, gives me anxiety. This may be the wrong place to ask but any tips on how to transition OUT of sales. I’ve tried in the past but nothing has worked. My salesy resume gets overlooked.

Understand how difficult it is to pivot into something else when your resume is screaming something else. I try to figure out how to present my skills in a different light. Do you know what you’d like to transition out to? Customer success, RevOps, or consulting might be a good slight move to start the process out.

I grew up with a lot of social anxiety so I can't really believe I'm saying this, but my favorite thing about working at a store is that I have to talk to people every day. It's really helped me come "out of my shell" and stepping outside of my comfort zone has given me more confidence than I ever thought it would.
