I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. It makes my passion for the field just go away.
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. I’m working with a recruiter right now and mentioned I was interested in working at a firm’s new office that just opened in the area I was raised. Recruiter mentioned she would ask if there were any openings. After thinking about it, I would probably take an offer there over any other potential offer; I also saw the firm has an open position at that office online. I just talked to the recruiter yesterday but am really wanting to follow up right now and update her on my interest. Too soon?
