My company doesn’t do that but I am a firm believer that you should be paid more to be in the office since you have more travel expenses than the wfh employee.
My company requires me to come in to the office. If I am required to come in every day, my commute would cost me over 6,500 per year. Why do you think I shouldn't be compensated for that extra expense you wouldn't incur if you were allowed to work from home?

Remote folks make $0. In-office make a lot more.

I have been seeing this too and I am glad my company doesn't do that. People who work from home shouldn't be paid less than those who don't. As long as the work is getting done and nobody is slacking, there is no reason for it.
This is my general take too
