I've gotten multiple coworkers from my old job new positions at better companies, including where I work now. This is the way, building the underground railroad and leaving these companies high and dry till they change their ways :)

You're a good person, way to pay it forward. Those coworkers are lucky to have you as a friend. Here's hoping that change comes sooner than later.

That is really awesome! Some of the worst places I have worked actually had some of the best people around. Would absolutely bend over backwards for a lot of them to get into better places that they deserve to be. One step at a time and hopefully everyone gets into a better place.

Love it. I've been leaving reviews on company pages anonymously to warn future aplicants. Anything helps really.

IMO, this is the best way for companies to find new talent, as long as you're a respected, well liked employee. It's a win-win. Got my current job this way, been here about 10 yrs, overall generally a pretty decent environment with plenty of good workers. However, it's doubtful this will have any impacts on a company's culture or policies.

That can only occur when a company is forced to change and/or can't find new talent. But kudos to you for helping folks find a new gig!

I wish more people had this thought process. I know a couple individuals in a hire position and have a completely different outlook on success for others . I’m currently in the healthcare industry looking for a better opportunity to jump out and grab me.

Any insight into the Product Development Specialist role at Facebook? My goal is product management and I am currently a strategy consultant with 3 YOE (not technical), but this seems like a possible path toward that goal. The initial total comp brought up was only $110K (base, bonus, stock), which is barely more than I am making now, though they said there was room to negotiate on the stock portion.

How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped.
