There is almost nowhere to find reliable bonus information on Canadian firms. I’ve heard of year end bonuses ranging from 10-50% this year (not including Covid bonuses). Let’s start a thread posting year of call, rough billable hours worked and bonus as a percent of salary.

I think overall I’m better at candidate led due to mainly practicing those, and I understand the actual fundamentals don’t change style to style, but outside of repping McK cases is there anything anyone found particularly useful when practicing those types of cases that they might recommend to me? Federal Register confirms 2023’s 8.7% COL increase. Associate at Ogletree and my expected 2023 base salary will NOT reflect a full 8.7% increase from my 2022 salary. So I’ll effectively accept a pay cut IF I stay with OD in 2023. Also seems to mean my added yr of seniority/experience is effectively not accounted for in 2023’s salary. Is this a universal experience across comparable firms or are other firms doing across-the-board increases in light of 2023’s 8.7% COL jump? Am I overthinking this?

Hello Everyone! It has been three months since we moved after 20+ years in New York City suburbs. We probably bought our home at the peak. However, we are so glad we did it. Austin is a fantastic place and has so much to offer. People are so friendly and interesting. Lot of things to see. We live in Steiner and you can’t really can’t go wrong with bee cave, west lake, Leander or any of these suburbs. I highly recommend a home with a view and going into the city. They gave large raises to 95% of our employees across all specialties (some called what they got "life changing") but our group was overlooked or disregarded with no explanation!
