I loved Chief when I was in NYC. I met a lot of successful, single, no kids career women who would do events, dinners and shows together. Add that I had a tight core group and I would have stayed forever.
I moved back to Chicago and there wasn't a good group of that type of woman here and the mommy jacking of the core group was more pronounced. Most of the two core groups I was on were entrepreneurs which doesn't help me as a global exec.
I quit Chief 1.5 years ago as it became a drain vs a help. Adding to that, the corporate team was always reaching out to Black women about our experience, while not hiring Black women and not letting Black women interview guests, it just wasn't a fit any more.
I get much better value out of our Chicago executive clubs than Chief.
I’ve been a CHIEF member for a while too, and while I got a lot out of it early on, the momentum has definitely slowed. I’m finding myself logging into core meetings wondering if it’s going to be the same conversation we had last month. I joined hoping for fresh perspectives and strategic insight, but right now it feels a bit like we’re all circling the same issues without moving forward.
I get the invitations on LI but never joined
I was a part of chief for two years. The second year was definitely less productive than the first. I’m still in contact with many of the women that I met through the first year.
They did a restructuring recently and a revamp of their offerings and it doesn’t seem to be working out
Not for the price point
As an FYI, if you are a woman of color, you can ask them for a discount on the price
