If you are thinking of starting a law practice or growing one with little or no capital, you need to get the book, “Starting & Growing a Law Practice without Breaking the Bank.
It was written based on personal experience and research. I started my practice 11 years ago in the middle of the 2008/2009 recession with about $500 and I have grown the practice significantly over the years using affordable and available resources.
I also coach solo practitioners and small firm attorneys. https://www.amazon.com/Starting-Growing-Practice-Without-Breaking/dp/1099523303

Pros
Based on same algorithm/engine used in tax preparation software so tax calculations are precise
In my jurisdiction many judges have used the software
The reports are designed well and allow for many different scenarios
There is a feature allowing the client to fill in worksheets to help with the input of facts and information
Cons
There is a learning curve before you can begin to use it effectively
The help screens are not as detailed and allow only a limited explanation of certain features
The client has to have some technical ability and devote sufficient time to complete the worksheets so that the end result is correct and complete. Otherwise just set an interview with the client to ask all of the necessary questions
Thank you! Is it worth the money? Is there another software I should look into?
Looks like only Colorado. I’m in CA and the practice management software I have integrates with Family, I’ll just stick with Family for now. Thank you!!
What do you want to accomplish with the software?
Running calculations. We have a practice management software that integrates with it so I was going to get it but wanted to see if anyone had feedback or a better option
