Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)

I apply to all of them but I ask pretty early on in the interviewing process about the salary. I also don't want to invest a bunch of time but so many applications don't have it listed that I can't be too picky.

Thanks for your reply. That makes sense asking about salary early in the interview process seems like a smart move. I suppose it helps set expectations right from the start. I’ll try to adopt that approach, as it can be frustrating to invest time without knowing if the role aligns with my salary expectations. Appreciate the advice!
That's how a ton of them are here since my state doesn't require salary disclosure on listings. I just apply to anything that looks decent with a reputable name and try to get an idea of range during the screening call or initial interview. It's a reasonable question to ask and I've never gotten any pushback for posing it.

Thanks for sharing that. It’s good to know that asking about salary during the screening call is generally accepted. I’ll definitely keep that in mind when applying to roles, especially since the lack of disclosure can make it tricky to gauge opportunities. It sounds like a solid strategy to focus on reputable companies. Cheers for the tip!

I usually look for jobs that at least give a salary range or do some research to gauge what’s typical for that role. It saves time and helps avoid any surprises later on!

That’s a sensible approach! Checking for salary ranges and doing a bit of research really can save a lot of hassle down the line. It’s frustrating when listings don’t provide that info, but being proactive definitely helps. Thanks for sharing your strategy!
