Just started at an MBB and am really sucking. I think what's holding me back from performing well is confidence. Like the best consultants are the ones who you give a module to and they just tell you what they're going to do and the answer. They go to managers with certain questions but there's no doubt they have ownership of their section.

While ownership is crucial in success at an MBB, confidence is the pre-requisite. How do you go about developing the confidence that you'll get shit done?

Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? Is it based on reputational risk or from a sales perspective in case someone rejects both funds, any other issues? Thanks!

So, here it is. I was having joining on last week October as a senior analyst data science in Tiger Analytics. Today I got an call from HR that due to economic recession we are going to delay your date of joining by 2 months. My notice period was of 3 months. So total duration would be 5 months. Infact even after that too they didn't send me revised offer letter. There is something wrong with this company.

Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. Can anybody offer some insight into each of these/the process?

Does Boston Consulting have an M&A and Private Equity Practice? Based on company webpage this is not quite clear…perhaps it is not a main focus as it is with, perhaps, Bain? Or the competencies are integrated within the practices of BCG?
