I’m currently working at a management consultancy (approx. 5000 employees) in the data division (in the UK).

I consider myself to be a top performer and was recently promoted from the grad scheme after 1 year at the firm (compared to average 1.5-2 years). I also have an offer for similar role at big4.

Is it worth applying as an experienced hire for MBB? I didn’t go to a target university so I’m wondering how I can maximise my chances in applying.

A staffing agency (Alfvo) recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn because they are looking to fill a workday him role. They emailed me the job description. They wanted to do a phone call immediately/right then. I said my availability is tomorrow or the next day. I asked for company name, but responded saying they can’t share the count details before the phone call. Am I getting scammed or is this common practice with agencies?

For folks starting at BCG (experienced hires) in August, is there any indication as to what the first week(s) of orientation and training is like? I.e., remote vs in-person (if in-person, which city), etc.

I applied to an experienced consultant position at Bain and just heard back. Yesterday, I received an invite to a HireVue one-way interview to complete. Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. An advice on how to approach the application and how to land an interview with an MBB firm? I am at Accenture but want to engage myself in “pure” strategy work.
