Hello! Does any one have any insight/advice for a McKinsey interview? I have a call with a McK recruiter next week to discuss my background, which will hopefully lead to official interviews. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m new to exploring the mgmt consulting world.

Did a first interview with hr rep, went very well. she set up the hiring manager meeting for a few days later. Met with the manager. Another great conversation, went over time and was told I’d hear back about panel set up. Following day I get a request from hr rep to “continue the conversation” with manager. This is set up Tuesday.
Why do you think the manager wants to meet again? Good? Bad? I felt great about the interview when we ended.

I’m a senior planner leading one brand and there’s a new strategist on the team working on a sister brand. They’ve been asking for every strategy deck I’ve made on that brand as an example to go by to inform the thinking/flow on the sister brand. Also because I mentioned it went well with client when they ask. I applied to an experienced consultant position at Bain and just heard back. Yesterday, I received an invite to a HireVue one-way interview to complete. Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. Can anybody offer some insight into each of these/the process?

For folks starting at BCG (experienced hires) in August, is there any indication as to what the first week(s) of orientation and training is like? I.e., remote vs in-person (if in-person, which city), etc.
