That every few years, the reading and math curriculum gets thrown out, before any real data is shared with the teachers!!!
That we have aging buildings with no AC, and no money to rebuild or build newer bulings to accommodate the ever growing population of students in our large inner city school district 🤔 🙄 😑 😒
Lack of clarity about things that don't need to be "secret". I don't know why communication is so unclear when it's about stuff that would actually make us all feel more connected.
THIS!!!! I don’t have a ton to complain about after seeing the nonsense so many of you deal with on here and social media but the lack of communication in my district is unreal.
Our ancient teacher technology. I switched districts and think I time warped to the early 2000’s
Every year they plan multiple large scale projects to take place over the summer and promise that it will all be completed on day 1. I can honestly say that in my 23 years this has never been the case. One year I looked at their ambitious list of projects and said, yep. I’m going to run all my copies that I need for the first 3 weeks. If they have things done, then I will be ahead of the game. If they don’t then I won’t be struggling to find productive things for my students to work on while we wait. Were they done? Nope. Did many of my coworkers end up buying paper and printing their copies on their home printers. The district did not reimburse them for this expense.
