Do you recommend hiring a tax consultant vs. doing it yourself using turbotax or the likes? Do tax consultants bring additional value/savings when compared to the risk of sharing your SSN with someone
Currently interviewing. Would you take an analyst role for less hours or stay in public for better career progression?
My current role is work from home and it will be extended past February. Any cool cities you guys recommend moving to since I have that flexibility?
I'm considering a jump to a FAANG HR Business Partner position. Hoping to get advice from the fishes. My real passion is corporate strategy, but I've done a ton of work with HR over the years, and a good amount of client coaching and training. Would this hurt my chances of going back to corporate strategy later? Is it worth the risk to get into a FAANG?
I moved from consulting to industry - and 2 months in, I hate it. I have severe paralyzing anxiety, am in a stretch role but have limited access to my manager (executive level) and little direction...
How do you focus after interviewing for a role that you want? Had final round interviews for a different company last week and am very anxious waiting to hear back - having a hard time focusing
How is the Operations Consulting practice at PWC? Specifically in Pharma and Life Sciences and was contacted by a recruiter for a Senior Associate role. Expected comp and practice culture?
So many burned out colleagues I've met over the years are planning an industry exit strategy, either soon or down the line. Are you thinking of leaving the biz, for what, and why?
With DMA’s legal troubles, how can we address reporting NDAs and sexual harassment in our ad community? What resources are available outside hiring our own legal counsel?
Is there a role at places with in house creative for account managers (spotify, starbucks, etc)? or just a traditional brand manager role?
I have five years big 4. Always did well bonus and promotion wise. In between I left for IT sales to make more money but being in Boston I would of had to move for better opportunities. Now I’m back in consulting and miss the freedom of sales. Anyone in my position? I felt this way before quarantine too. The SM on my project almost got divorced so she worked so much, then she said I realized it just my life. It’s just too unhealthy. Thoughts bowlers?
Received an offer for BCG’s Knowledge Team, and understand the largely non-client facing nature of the work. Can others chime in on the upsides of the role / growth trajectory ?
Regarding layoffs, would anyone accept a pay cut to keep their current position? I wonder if that’s a viable solution when you have to cut costs, but also want to keep reasonably talented people.
I assert myself and take on a a team lead role but may be stepping on toes. I feel like that’s my natural personality so it’s authentic. Should I give a s**t about what others think? Or do my thing?
Anyone know the PE Ops comp for a VP role (mid-tier)? Approx base + bonus? Is 300k base reasonable?
Has anyone interviewed with Delivery Hero in Germany? Specifically a role in the global management vertical
What’s “the mommy track?” Do moms who have flex hours and take time off to tend to their kids after maternity leave have lower salaries? If not, can I “mommy track” with no kids?
Whoever decided they should be called "dreamers" deserves a nice bonus. Seriously, great branding.
Has anyone been successful in negotiating more severance? I’ve been offered a month, but I don’t think I can survive just on it. Only have 2 months saved up.
I work for a manager who was an IC for 20 y, and now is making all the classic new manager mistakes. Meanwhile, I left consulting as an EM, so actually have more management experience than him (cont)
How does taking a day of PTO help anyone but Accenture & their own balance sheets? What solidarity is it if they’re not spending all day marching, volunteering or donating the $$? Help me understand
I think PGA/LPGA camera operators are very under appreciated. I mean, the skill it takes to spot, zoom in, and track a tiny golf ball flying through the air at 150+mph over and over and from multiple angles is incredible. I literally can’t follow my own golf ball leaving my club much less someone else’s with a camera mounted on my shoulder.
I’m traveling to Maine from Georgia in a couple of weeks and will be flying into Boston and renting a car. I am reading about Mass. Covid travel rules and I am wondering if I would qualify as a transitory traveler since I’m just passing through. The website only talks about people that are driving through so I was wondering if anyone has done something similar recently. Also, if anyone has flown into BOS recently, how did they check to see if you exempt from the Covid rules?
Case study interviw next week. Any material I could quickly cram? Been a while. Pressed for time on current engagement so I need something to get me up speed in a day or two over the weekend? Thanks!
Anyone have recommendations for sturdy travel size bottles for shampoo, conditioner etc.? Mine always seem to fall apart / explode after a couple months
What’s stopping us from just giving every household cash as opposed to small business loans, tax holidays, major bailouts, etc.? Aside from corporate lobbies, what’s the big hang up? Seems like it could be cheaper or no?
BCG🐠, any info on Expand Research? Says its a BCG subsidy focusing FS sector benchmarking. Work out of Hudson Yards. Can I get a feel for culture, projects, exposure, etc
