Many candidates express concerns about job security due to the volatile nature of startups. How do you address and reassure candidates about job security and stability in a startup environment?

I always like to share the business plan, objective and market share of the product or services. In essence consider them like an investor as they too will be taking a risk in the start up. Drive the excitement besides that there’s not much one can do.

As someone who was just let go from a startup, I would suggest ensuring low churn, putting a standard severance program in place, offer 2-3 months of health insurance, repositioning and clear growth options.

I’m leaving my job soon but I’m wondering if I should be truthful when I hand in my letter of resignation. There’s a ton of reasons but it boils down to: I’m worth more than they can pay me and I need to pay off these student loans. What should I say?

First time poster here!

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?
