Morning huddle important in business or not? I feel it helps start the day with focus and positive energy. In my experience, when our team did a quick 5-minute huddle, everyone knew their targets and the whole day ran smoother. But some people still think it’s wasting time. What you guys think? Does your team actually benefit from morning huddles or not?

We have three a week T-TH… but they’re scheduled for an hour and rarely take that long… I try to present timely information that can help my advisors either better execute, grow their businesses or information that’s need to know…

Sometimes it can be useful but most times it is not.I really don't see a reason to have it every single morning. I think twice a week would be better.

Totally agree with you

We have a longer one on Monday mornings, and then shorter ones throughout the week. Sometimes it isn’t needed, but I firmly believe it helps more than it’s a waste of time.

Right, every manager has their own way they like to do things.

I think 1-2 huddles/week is plenty. Anything more is overkill

It's good to have a morning touchpoint or check-in to review pertinent issues, impending or newly implemented changes/patches/policies and for accountability across our team. We want to be on the same page though we know the day can go completely off the rails 5 minutes later.

I work in commercial real estate retail leasing. Current employer just increased base to $100k with avg. 20-35% bonus/commissions combined. Received offer to exclusively work for a tenant and help them open new locations. $115k base 10% bonus & also stock options. Remote work, lots of driving, similar job title. Its a VC funded startup & aggressively growing. I’ve never worked for a start up, so curious what everyone’s experiences are and any feedback would be super appreciated thank you!!

I have 10 years of experience. Mostly in Unix, C++ and Visual C++ and MS SQL. I developed interest in cloud computing as like many others and was able to clear AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Associate and Professional, AWS Security. Along with these I was able to clear 8 Azure certifications as well: 3 fundamentals, Azure Security, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps and Azure Architect.
Now my main question, can I try to switch on Cloud Architect or some other similar cloud roles?

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

User experience mgr salary? I support six product teams and eight reports. 20+ years experience
