I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google
Hello Fishes,
I left capegemini on 4th of Feb and I still haven't got my relieving letter as well as experience letter. I'm trying to access my capegemini portal from webvpn.capgemini.com but I'm not able to access that either. Please suggest me what should be done, my next employer is asking for relieving letter.

Sounds like serious trust issues on your boss's part. I don't get people like this. I work hard, but the second I clock out for vacation, work is the furthest thing from my mind.

That is exactly what gets me. I cannot imagine being off and still wanting to stay mentally tied to work like that. It really does make me think it is less about dedication and more about not being able to let go or trust that things will be fine without them.
Hopefully your boss is not a micromanager. I like to check my emails because I hate coming back to hundreds of unread emails, but I will let things wait if they can.

Checking emails here and there is one thing, but still actively asking for updates and staying in the middle of things that can wait is different. That is when it starts feeling less like staying informed and more like micro manager.
I would be more shocked at a manager who didn’t check in while they were on vacation. It’s normal to worry about things when you’re gone. They’re in charge after all.

I get that part of it, and I know some people probably do see it as normal. I think what throws me is not the occasional check in, it is when they are still acting half on the clock while supposedly being off. At that point it stops feeling like concern and starts feeling like they do not know how to step away.
