Max’s fault for not backing out earlier and taking to the kerbs like Lewis did on lap 1 at both Imola and here. Max relies on intimidating other drivers and forcing them to back out but that won’t work all the time, especially not on a 7-time champion.
As a German I politely disagree with 2000-2004 being “horror years” haha but otherwise I see your point

It's racing, but Max more to blame. He lacks patience in those crucial moments and no point going for that move in that chicane at that point in the race

Looks like the stewards agree with us - Max gets a 3-place grid penalty. Bit harsh but oh well.
Wow. LH moved over on the straight into della Roggia but gave Max just enough room on the outside. MC rounded him to the point of being enough alongside on the little bit of straight between the 1st and 2nd corners of the chicane. At that point, they both need to leave each other space. Also at that point, if leaving space, there is no way LH makes the exit of the 2nd corner (at least not ahead). But, if LH leaves MV space thru the 2nd corner and is on the outside, the no way MV with the inside line makes the corner without running into LH. Simply, I would have placed more on LH at the point of contact, but if progressed another 50' into and thru the 2nd part of the chicane, then MV would have run into LH and would have entirely been his fault. To me, that puts this as a 50/50 and a racing incident.
I think it’s a racing incident, but the blame is more on Max than Lewis. Max should have given way when Lewis took the line.
I feel like it’s the opposite of silverstone. There it was 75 Lewis and 25 max, here it’s 75 max and 25 Lewis. I think penalty to max in Monza makes sense, but I don’t understand how Lewis got away with silverstone.

Max’s fault. I don’t understand why the likes of PDR and Massa think it’s 50:50 and a racing incident. The move around turn 1 was worth trying but there wasn’t enough of a gap at 2 so he should have bailed. I wonder if Damon Hill was right
I think he’s right, I would be surprised if that thought of „even if we crash it benefits me“ never factored into Max‘ decision making
I think it's a racing incident and I'm very surprised that Max was given a penalty.
Racing incident. But the stewards seem to think it’s required for SOMEONE to get a penalty, so not surprised Max got tagged.
Also, Lewis must be protected at all costs.

If there was any penalty it should have been on Louis as the driver coming out of the pits and obstructing the road while at a slower pace. It was a racing incident but I would put Louis at a slightly higher blame.
Lol max only caught up with Lewis at the corner entrance, at no point of that fight was Lewis the slower car or an obstruction. It’s not that he weaved and blocked max on the straight
